THE GARDEN OF YOUR HEART

There’s a special place within you
Called the Garden of your Heart,
Where more attention’s needed,
So get out your garden cart!

Just as your backyard garden needs
The care that you must give
So too, the Garden of Your Heart
Needs care if it’s to live.

The weeds that you are pulling there
Are jealousy and greed,
Selfishness, then hate and pride…
Replaced by flower seeds

Of friendliness and kindness
With love and charity.
Compassion, and the best of all,
With spirituality.

The Garden of Your Heart will grow
Because you gave it care
And the sunlight from your Garden Heart
Will shine forth like a prayer!​
